Yes...I'm a Nerd.
Delighted to tell you Facefolks that I just had my 10 year USA visa approved today so you won't be getting rid of me any time soon!
Not a bad 1st day back from an amazing vacation in Yosemite, right?
I have something ridiculous to admit though, which harkens back to my nerdy roots...
When I was a kid I was even more introverted than I am now. I was your typical nerdy, isolated unathletic kid. I didn't really do sports until I went to college, so as a kid my escape was always video games. I couldn't kick a ball, but I would smoke anybody and everybody at Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (incidentally, one of the best video game soundtracks ever) or ruin your life playing Goldeneye.
That might sound frivolous to some of you (not that I give a shit - I'm still an unapologetic nerd), but the escapism it provided and more importantly, the sense of achievement, really helped me during my uber depressed teen years.
Games giving a sense of acheivement may be a foreign concept to you. Its a dopamine hit. You cleared the level. You killed the boss. You levelled up. You hit a deadlift PR. You won the race. Its all the same shit. Gamers are great gym goers once they get started in my experience! Shoutout to Brooklyn for being a shining example of this.
Anyway, I was in beautiful Yosemite and couldn't help but think this is probably what Zelda: Breath of The Wild looks like.
I literally laughed out loud.
But it got me thinking about why more people aren't levelling up. Most people trying to lose weight or get stronger are playing the wrong game.
I want my clients to get to the level of badassery that they ARE the end boss. Or at least one of his epic minions.
I ran my beta testing for online training 2 months ago and have been in the lab streamlining and simplifying it since. It reopens on the 1st Sept. 10 places only. Proven, simple methods for success. No BS. No fluff.
